Tristan Coleman
Multidisciplinary artist Tristan Coleman draws on a lifetime of making, from her first papier-mâché experiments in primary school. Her practice spans painting, pottery, and sculpture, unified by a consistent fascination with nature. With her background in art history, and years of classes and workshops behind her, Tristan focuses on refining her own visual language which balances intuition with technical understanding. She works from a home studio overlooking bushland, where sketching, experimenting, and quiet observation shape much of her process. She describes her process as “capturing whatever piques my interest” and exploring it in different forms: on canvas, in clay, or quick sketches from the comfort of her well-worn studio chair. Tristan follows the adage Comparison is the thief of joy and tunes out social media to focus on her own path.

Jane Garratt
Photography-based artist Jane Garratt draws on her past professional experience as a children’s book illustrator to create Bucolic Lives, a light-hearted series of postcards that pair her photos of animals with imagined stories about their characters.
In this exhibition, Jane also shares an example of how making and processing photos has helped her survive the death of her daughter and only child, in a reworked photo composite of Toby as an angel, a loving tribute to Toby's character and memory.

Margery Goodall
Award-winning artist Margery Goodall has a longstanding creative practice focusing on stitched cloth, with a more recent addition of assemblages of found objects and waste materials. Margery's work has been exhibited in selective exhibitions in Australia and internationally since 1999. Margery's work explores how we as individuals, and as a society, interact with the land around us; and how and why the relationship has changed over time. Beth Harcourt
Artist and teacher Beth Harcourt runs a creative arts studio for adults and NDIS participants. Influenced by Gaudi, Klimt, Michael deMeng and Alexander Calder, Beth’s practice evolved from ceramics to additive sculpture. Beth builds vibrant “quirky birds” from discarded materials, Powertex and paint to disguise their origins, each piece giving new life to objects otherwise bound for landfill. Beth believes "humans are designed to be creative", they just need to find their outlet.

Caroline Henson
Multidisciplinary artist Caroline Henson's practice is rooted in experimentation, collaboration, and a professional background in quality management. Caroline's work centres on meditative, layered film and mixed-media compositions that explore the tension between the natural and built worlds, and the human presence within them. Her work has been exhibited at Inglewood Arts Hub Gallery (2024) and at festivals and events in WA and Victoria (read more about Caroline).

Jan Holland
Textile artist Jan Holland loves working in whites and natural fabrics, sometimes juxtaposing inflexible heavy fabrics materials with lighter ones. Her practice adapts haute couture techniques to achieve movement, self-supporting form, strength and resilience. Jan's focus is a love of the beach and ocean - and concern for its degradation, and she channels this environmental focus into her work.
Maxine Lo Re
Painter Maxine Lo Re has spent the past three years developing a distinctive style, using her eye for the small, arresting moments in life. She began almost by accident when her sister handed her a box of unused art materials, and Maxine simply picked them up and started. Since then, she has honed her skills through close observation and working from photographs, a practice that has helped her build a strong technical base and confidence. Her subjects are always personal: fleeting scenes that amuse or move her, images she captures because she can’t bear to let them go.
Peter Lyle
Retired but never idle, Peter Lyle has been creating art since his school days. When he’s not travelling or enjoying a game of lawn bowls, he can be found in his home studio, happily immersed in his next mosaic piece. “I like to be involved,” he says, and that sense of engagement and curiosity fuels his artistic life. Peter approaches his art practice with the dedication of someone who simply loves making things.
Licy Mathew
Painter Licy Mathew rediscovered her passion for art in retirement, and now works mainly in oils, celebrating colour, light, and the calm of nature. Inspired by early teachers, local Perth artists, and the great masters abroad, Licy paints landscapes, portraits, still life, and has an emerging interest in abstraction, drawn from her travels.
Licy follows the guiding advice to “suggest the form” rather than over-paint. Licy believes encouragement can spark lifelong creativity.

Bethanie Provan
A lifelong drawer and painter, Bethanie Provan balances her life as an artist, wife, mother of three, and relief primary school teacher. Her art practice is rooted in the overlooked details of the natural world. Bethanie encourages viewers to slow down and recognise the small wonders she notices around her - an approach shaped by Western Australia’s biodiversity and, at times, by Bethanie's dismay at environmental decline.
Bethanie paints for four hours a day, moving her homemade, wheeled easel to chase the light. Though often called prolific, she describes herself as a slow, deliberate maker.

Continually exploring the conceptual side of art, for Bruce "it's not wallpaper".

He creates cartoon-style illustrations, some in colour, but he prefers a black and white palette. Starting in childhood, Ronnie has been illustrating seriously since 2007, and has self-published several comic books.
