Thursday’s Collective brings together oils, gouache, mixed media, and photography in a vibrant showcase of creative talents. This exhibition moves fluidly across styles and subjects, exploring multiple themes in works by Kelly Ha, Sara Lancaster, Heather Liebenau, Kathryn Mann, and Gem Oliveiro.
Kelly Ha
Kelly Ha is an illustrator and artist from Perth, WA. She primarily works in oils, gouache and watercolour. She is fascinated by the natural and urban world, and her art explores how they interact. Inspired heavily by her interest in animation and graphic art, she approaches her work by blending technical elements from both digital and traditional art.

Sara Lancaster
Sara Lancaster is a painter working primarily in oils who explores the expressive potential of colour and light through still life and landscape. Her work blends mark-making with a sensitivity to atmosphere, resulting in richly textured, emotionally resonant works. Based in Perth, Sara holds a Bachelor of Arts from Edith Cowan University and also works as a teacher.
Heather Liebenau
Heather Liebenau is passionate about art. Having always been creative, painting began with watercolours after retirement. Ten years on, the choice of medium often depends on the subject but her favourites are watercolours and oils. She believes it’s not talent but sheer determination and passion that has brought her this far. Landscapes and portraits are her favourites.
Kathryn Mann
Kathryn Mann is an illustrator and art director. She has over 10 years of experience in the gaming industry and a global career spanning comics, animation, virtual reality, and visual development. Whilst her day job is entirely digital, she loves working in traditional mediums and is fond of charcoal, life drawing and gouache. When she’s not making artwork, she’s admiring birds and filming them for her friends.

Gem Oliveiro
Gem Oliveiro lives and works in Perth. Originally painting in water colours, she has recently discovered a new medium: black and white photography. She explores shape, line, form, geometry and architecture in urban and suburban landscapes. These elements interact to create a compelling atmosphere in her photographs. This expressive approach is also reflected in her paintings of coastal landscapes.
