Torsten graduated from Curtin University with a Bachelor of Art Education in 1991 and has worked primarily as a painter. Over this time, he has taught art at many levels including university and tertiary institutions, as well as teaching watercolour at the Galleria Art Studio for the last 6 years.
As a painter, Torsten has had success. He has won several art awards, exhibited his work in Australia and internationally, including China and Italy. His work is represented in several public and private art collections in Australia and internationally.
