About the event

Come join us on Monday, November 25 for the next Artist Talk at the Inglewood Arts Hub.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Archibald, Lester & Darling Prize finalist Melissa Clements is a 26 year old local artist with an emerging National reputation. Specialising in classical figurative painting, Melissa's work explores dualities of the human condition as avenues to make sense of being alive in the contemporary world.

ABOUT THE ARTIST TALK

Driven by gut instinct, Melissa quit her job at 23 for a full-time career in fine art.

Within 6 months, she was commissioned to paint the official portrait of the Chief Justice, Peter Quinlan, she ran 4 sold out painting courses and was selected as a finalist for the prestigious Darling Prize. Now Melissa is working on her most ambitious exhibition yet, inspired by the depths of human emotion, to her travels near the top of the High Arctic.

In line with recent artist talk themes, Melissa will also share tips and insights for fellow artists about running a successful arts practice.
