Jane Marron exploring the natural world

Jane Marron was born and raised on a wheat and sheep farm in a tiny town in the Midwest of Western Australia. She now lives and paints in Dianella in the City of Stirling.

She worked as a primary school teacher for over 40 years, with the last 20 years as a primary art specialist where she was privileged to play a pivotal role in nurturing and shaping young minds as they embark on their creative journey. She is now working on how to be retired.

Her artistic journey started with ceramics, which consisted mainly of creating functional tableware. She also enjoyed experimenting in the uniqueness of raku and other special techniques.

In more recent years, she ventured into the realm of oil painting, where she is still trying to find her style. She is inspired by line, colour and texture. Jane enjoys exploring the natural world and enjoys painting scenic landscapes and colourful floral blooms. Her work is impressionistic/expressionistic with loose brushstrokes, vivid colours with an emphasis on the play of light to capture each scene.
