Congratulations to Inglewood Arts Hub member, Josh Wells for winning the Major Acquisitive Award for his work Six Seasons at the City of Stirling Art Awards and Exhibition 2023!
Josh took these photos of local flora found in the Inglewood Triangle, throughout the year to catalogue each of the Nyoongar Six Seasons.
The judges noted that Josh’s entry was “A sophisticated artwork with an accomplished composition and balance, beautifully presented and technically impressive in both photographic and post-production skill. This piece could be comfortably exhibited internationally. It is drawing on history, science, Renaissance and botanical art to evoke a unique sense of place.”
Congratulations also go to City of Stirling Art Awards Finalists and Arts Hub members Naomi Antenucci, Jane Marron, Kelly Ha, Iwona van Niekerk and Louise Wells.
